Baroda Animal Husbandry and Fisheries Kisan Credit Card (BAHFKCC) Scheme : Benefits

  • Nil Processing Charges for aggregate loan upto Rs 3.00 Lakhs
  • Nil Inspection Charges for aggregate loan up to Rs 3.00 Lakhs
  • Simple interest is applied till due date of repayment
  • Credit Balance will attract interest as in saving bank rate
  • No penal interest is charged up to limit of Rs. 25000.00
  • Free Personal Accidental Insurance of Rs. 50000.00
  • Loans up to Rs. 2.00 Lakhs will be charged @ 7%p.a, subject to Govt. of India providing Interest Subvention to Bank on such advances.
  • Prompt Repayment Incentive of 3% per annum for loans up to Rs 2.00 lakh for borrowers with timely repayment. However, the interest subvention and prompt repayment incentive benefit on working capital (i.e Crop Loan+ Working capital loan for animal husbandry and fisheries) will be available only on an overall limit of Rs 3.00 lakh per annum and subject to maximum limit of Rs 2.00 lakh per farmer involved in activities only related to animal husbandry and /or fisheries.
  • Credit Guarantee for loans upto Rs 10.00 lakhs is available under Credit Guarantee Fund for Micro Units (CGFMU)

Baroda Animal Husbandry and Fisheries Kisan Credit Card (BAHFKCC) Scheme : Features

  • This loan provides adequate and timely credit support to farmers related to Animal Husbandry and Fisheries
  • The scheme will meet the Short Term & Long Term credit requirements of the farmers involved in activities related to Animal Husbandry and Fisheries i.e rearing of animals, birds, fish, shrimp, other aquatic organism and capture of Fish.

Baroda Animal Husbandry and Fisheries Kisan Credit Card (BAHFKCC) Scheme : Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for beneficiaries under the scheme will be as under:

Dairy, Poultry and small ruminant:

Farmers, Dairy/Poultry farmers, either individual or joint borrower, Joint Liability Groups or Self Help Groups including tenant farmers, who are rearing dairy animals/sheep/ goats/ pigs/ rabbit /poultry birds and having owned/ rented/ leased sheds.


Fishery:

Inland Fisheries and Aquaculture:

  • Fishers, Fish Farmers (Individual & groups/partners /share croppers /tenant farmers), Self Help Groups, Joint Liability Groups and women groups.
  • The beneficiary must own or lease any of the fisheries related activities such as pond, tank, open water bodies, raceway, hatchery, rearing unit, possess necessary license for fish farming and fishing related activities, and any other State specific fisheries and allied activities.

Marine Fisheries:

Fishers, Fish Farmers (Individual & groups/partners /share croppers /tenant farmers), Self Help Groups, Joint Liability Groups and women groups who own or lease registered fishing vessel/boat, possess necessary fishing license/permission for fishing in estuary and sea, fish farming/ mariculture activities in estuaries and open sea and any other state specific fisheries and allied activities.

  • Application Form
  • Two Passport Sized Photographs
  • ID Proof like Driving License, Aadhaar Card, Voter ldentity Card, Passport etc. Any one of these document need to be taken. According to the RBI circular Aadhaar number along with PAN number or Form 60 as defined in Income Tax rule, 1962 is mandatory for conducting customer due diligence procedure
  • Documents stating land holding details duly certified by the revenue authorities/ Online Land records (wherever it is available)
  • Necessary fishing license/permission for fishing in estuary and sea
  • Necessary license for fish farming and fishing related activities, and any other State specific fisheries and allied activities related license from respective department

Processing Charges:

For Working Capital (Fresh/Review)

Fund Based:
  • Loan upto Rs 3 Lakhs – Nil
  • Above Rs 3 lakhs to Rs 10 Lakhs - Rs 250/- Lac or part thereof +GST
  • Above Rs 10 Lakhs – Rs 350/lakhs or part thereof maximum Rs 35.00 Lakhs (For exporters ` 17.50 Lacs)
For Term Loan
  • Above Rs 3 Lakhs - 1% of the limit sanctioned with a maximum of Rs 100 lakhs
Inspection Charges:
  • Upto Rs 3 Lakhs – Nil
  • Above Rs 3 lakhs to Rs 10 Lakhs - Rs 250
  • Above Rs 10 Lakhs to Rs 1 Crore – Rs 1000
  • Above Rs 1 Crore – Rs 5000

Baroda Animal Husbandry and Fisheries Kisan Credit Card (BAHFKCC) Scheme : Most Important Terms and Conditions MITC

Age Criteria For individual borrowers the age criteria is minimum 18 years & maximum up to 70 years on the date of availing the facility. (lf the age of Principal/ Main borrower exceeds 70 years, in such cases the legal heirs are to be made co-borrowers)
Quantum of Loan Minimum: Rs 3000/-
Maximum: Rs 10 Lakhs
Project Cost having loan requirement of more than Rs 10.00 lakhs will be considered separately as per existing guideline of Bank
Nature of Facility KCC will consist in form of Cash Credit & Long Term Loan
Repayment Period Cash Credit: Limits to be renewed annually, well before the due dates.
Term Loan: Monthly/quarterly/half-yearly as suitable to borrower
Security Limit up to Rs.1.6 lakhs: Hypothecation of stocks/assets to be created out of banks finance
Limit above Rs.1.6 lakhs: Hypothecation of standing crop, livestock, feed, medicine and assets to be created out of banks finance etc. Mortgage of land/creation of charge on land/guarantor.
Margin Cash Credit: No separate margin.
Term Loan:
Loan limit up to Rs. 1,00,000: Nil
Loan limit above Rs. 1,00,000: 15%
Loan Period BAHFKCC is valid upto 5 years, subject to annual review.
In case of Term Loan the branch may fix repayment schedule for more than 5 years and maximum up to 7 years depending on the feasibility & viability of the project

  • What is animal husbandry loan?

    Animal husbandry loans are loans generally offered to the farmers who are involved in activities related to Animal Husbandry and Fisheries for purchase or creation of assets and infrastructure related to poultry, sericulture, piggery, dairy development, fisheries development and apiculture etc.

  • Can one prepay the debt for animal husbandry?

    Yes. There is a provision by the bank to allow pre-payment of the debt, i.e., animal husbandry loan.

  • What is the limit of KCC for animal husbandry?

    KCC is Kisan Credit Card, which allows the farmers to apply for a KCC Animal Husbandry Loan.

    The limit for KCC is as follows:

    • Minimum – Rs. 3000.
    • Maximum – Rs. 10 lakhs.
  • Is there a requirement for collateral or security when applying for a loan for animal husbandry?

    There are 2 guidelines for having a collateral while applying for animal husbandry loan.

    • Animal husbandry loan up to Rs. 1.60 lakhs do not require collateral.
    • Any amount Rs. 1.60 lakhs do require a collateral, which includes mortgage of land or charge on agricultural land of the borrowers' is mandatory.

    Another scenario, where the amount is up to Rs. 10 lakhs, then that animal husbandry loan can be covered under Credit Guarantee Fund for Micro Units (CGFMU). The premium will be borne by the borrower.
